About Us

The exigence of the Billy Goat Gruff Foundation came from Ben Ballman and Billy Goat Gruff's starcrossed experience. Upon meeting, the two felt an instant emotional bond. However, when the two attempted to leave to begin a life with one another, the oppressive 'owners' of Billy restricted such a venture. It was a direct result of their love that Ben Ballman went on to found the Billy Goat Gruff Foundation, in the same of his beloved.

Since their separation, Ballman has been working diligently to support the rights and freedoms of goats everywhere. With a myriad of approaches, including education, liberation, and political and legal advocacy, the Billy Goat Gruff Foundation has quickly became the worlds leading goat rights advocacy group.

The goal is a better tomorrow, where humans and goats can live hand and hoof together - how it's meant to be. The Billy Goat Gruff Foundation is committed to this goal, and will not rest until it has been reached.
